Biografia
Il 2008 segna il debutto per i Barbacans, garage band del Centro Italia, dal suono potente e definito che si evolve, partendo dai tipici riffs anni 60 e dai suoni del Garage Revival.
Fanno parte della band Joe Carnarelli alla voce e alla Farfisa, Il Sindaco seconde voci e batteria, Walker alla chitarra vintage e ultimo arrivato Psych Guescio al basso.
Dopo la partecipazione a numerosi festival e date in alcuni dei più grossi clubs d'Italia, dividendo il palco con band del calibro degli storici Morlocks e Seeds, i Barbacans, prodotti dall' etichetta Boss Hoss Records Italy di Pesaro, stampano il loro primo singolo in vinile che racchiude due brani, i quali descrivono chiaramente i loro propositi. Distribuito dalla Godown Records nel circuito internazionale.
E' uscito a dicembre il loro primo video, tratto dal singolo “Phantom Opera”, prodotto da Pamela Bursi con regia di Andrea Giomaro e disponibile online.
I Barbacans hanno ultimato le registrazioni del loro primo album intitolato “God Save The Fuzz” nel gennaio 2009 presso il rinomato Circo Perrotti Studio (Gijon, Spagna, completamente in analogico). L'uscita è prevista per Aprile, prodotto dalla Boss HossRecords Italy e distribuito sempre da Godown Records.
Biography
In the 2008 The Barbacans, garage band from middle italy, make their debut developing from powerful Garage Revival sounds and sixties riffs, Fuzz and Farfisa.
The Barbacans are : Joe Carnarelli Voice and Farfisa , Il Sindaco drums and screams , Walker guitar and Psych Guescio bass.
The Boss Hoss Records Italy decided to took care of them by producing a first single featuring Godown Records which took care of the distribution (single only printed on vynil and only distributed abroad).
Since september 2007 they booked several concerts also sharing stage with legendary bands as Morlocks and the Seeds.
Their first vynil 7" that include two songs just right describe their intentions.
It's ready their first video “Phantom Opera” produced by Pamela Bursi and directed by Andrea Giomaro.
On January of 2009 they recorded the first lp called “God save the Fuzz” at the famous Circo Perrotti Studio (Gijon,Spain) . It will be out on April 2009 in Italy, Europe, Usa and Canada.
They're looking for concerts around Europe hoping to conquest the foreign audience with one of their adrenalinic shows.
